Jenny Staebell - Executive Director

It is my mission to combine my educational experience and background, with my passion for health and wellness, to create a positive contribution to the Genesee and Orleans Communities.  As a 2011 graduate, of SUNY Albany University, I earned my Master’s Degree in Science and Health Education.  I also obtained both my professional Health Education (prek-12) and Childhood Education NYS teaching certificates.

Being in the educational field, for over ten-years, has afforded me many academic opportunities and professional development experiences.  I’ve had the pleasure of working with wonderful families and a caring faculty.  During my teaching experiences, I taught health education for four years in a middle school setting.  I developed a health education curriculum that focused on wellness, substance abuse prevention, disease awareness, and risk reduction behaviors.

Leaving my career, was a tough decision, financially and emotionally, but certainly not the hardest decision that I will make in my life.  I was looking for something particular, something that didn’t exist, so I decided to build it, and be completely committed to forming an organization that will impact and bring resources to our communities.

This career shift allows me to embrace my health education background and passion to help influence others in making healthy life choices.  Along with education, I have always had a desire to work with youth to help make a positive impact in preventing and reducing the risk that is involved with teen pregnancy.
